70s Silver crown recessed hallway lighting
Recent uploads of silver crown lamps reminded me of this image. This is a scan from one of my DIY books from the early 1970s showing recessed silver crown fittings. The images are from various countries, this is from Denmark and has a that real Scandinavian look to it. There is some interesting lighting in these books including fluorescent and spotlighting.

Still has a rather modern look to it!

Many of the designs featured in these books still do look quite modern 40 years on. At the time, they would probably be considered really daring and too modern by many people, going for the traditional chintzy look .

I'd love to get some of those classic 70's recessed fittings. There was some on eBay not long ago, both NOS and used.
