Fitzgerald branded plug.
Not the most interesting thing but found this Fitzgerald branded plug while clearing out the loft. It was originally on a Radio gram that my parents would have bought in the late 60s or early 70s before my time. Not sure if it is the same Fitzgerald who make the Fluorescent light packs.

Interesting. In this instance, no, it's not the same Fitzgerald, as they didn't exist until either the very late 70's or early 1980's.

It's not impossible that it had a new plug in the late 70s following a house move if another plug got broken but can't be sure.

It's probably just conincidence it happens to have the same name on it, I'm not aware that Fitzgerald Lighting made anything other than lighting.

The rounded "background" behind the name is from milling out some older name that was embedded in the mould. Are there any older plugs out there that have the exact same appearance except the name ?

I vaguely recognise that shape. Another brand wouldn't be Contactum, would it?
