GE 1000w lamp with vertical filament
A very interesting American high wattage lamp, that up until today sat in the window of an electrical shop as a display item. To cut a long story short, I first noticed this last late December and since the easing of regulations I hadn't had time up until today to pay the shop a visit, along with a (broken stem, intact filament) GEC 1000w lamp I had and managed to offer as a swap successfully. Very pleased to have this old beast in my collection!

Interesting. Obviously intended for use with some sort of parabolic reflector?
