Thorn 115 volt 60 Hz ballast This ballast is rather interesting auto transformer ballast just like how American switch start Ballast works what interesting about it is those voltage and current specs. This was nice stock up on auto transformer ballast as it was cheap to purchase on Ebay. I prolly will hang on to this gear for now. And Install it if I can get a hold 4 foot pop pack.

Case design looks May & Christie / Optima made. Does it say on it anywhere where it was manufactured?

Yes on close inspection this does look very German!
