Coughtrie Ultralux 400
One of my best car boot finds is this absolutely massive Coughtrie Ultralux 400. Under normal circumstances I probably wouldn't have gone for it, just because of its rather unwieldly size, however spotting that it takes two 36w Dulux F lamps, I snapped it up immediately. Getting it home, I opened it up to find a rather odd Menvier sticker inside saying it was converted to emergency, however taking the reflector off revealed no such conversion had occurred, all it revealed was a rather messy wiring job. That was sorted immediately, and upon applying power, it sprang into life, possibly for the first time ever since it was made back in 2002. Its insanely bright, it'd light a large area with no trouble at all.

Interesting fitting! Those lamps I saw most in those cheap desk lights you used to be able to get - usually in 6500k only!

Similar but have a different base IIRC.

It’s the first time I’ve seen these used in a bulkhead Shocked

Indeed, and you'd need quite a bulkhead to get two in. I have a U300 which is big enough lol.

This thing is ab absolute monster, its got to be 14" wide easily. I've never seen anything that takes these lamps either, its output is very impressive as a result
