Coughtrie ARP.16P - Lit
Another eBay find from a while back, comes Coughtries not so well known ARP.16 in prismatic. I've always classed these as a blatant ripoff design of Thorns 2DFV16. Whilst its of far higher quality, being of an al metal design, the thing that lets it down is the plastic lugs either side of the cover. Over time plastic gets more and more brittle, I can see a lot of these having the lugs accidentally broken off resulting in cable ties being needed to hold the cover back in place. Despite that, the covers refractors do a fantastic job of breaking up the shape of the lamp, spreading light very evenly around the area it lights.

That prismatic pyramid design of the front bit of the cover looks siiick Cool and is the 2D lamp inside a GE 3500K one?

Its an outstanding design from Coughtrie, its the refractors that really attracted me to it. I do think it was a GE 3500k at the time of the pic, I think its now a 840 lamp of some sort, I'll have to dig it out and look.
