DIY 1000w SON Gearbox. Decided to put together an enclosure for the 1000w SON gear that I've had floating about for the last 10 years. I decided a proper Hylec DEDS0200 IP66 steel enclosure and the whole thing weighs over 20kg!!! The supplied screws to secure the gland plate were Philips head self-tappers but that would never do so I drilled and taped the holes to accept M5 dome head hex bolts. Much better IMO.
