I've known tubes in emergency lights seemingly last forever! There is a maintained EM light at the dentist here with its original GE Specfill still going strong! Must be 10 years old easily.

That's done well, but not as im pressive as the Wotan Daylight 8w I removed from a fitting at the local church a few years back - 20yrs on that and still working. I replaced it with a Specfill, which was twice as bright, and saved the Wotan

the italian made wotan/osram tubes were some of the best made i think. and as you say, will outlive any LED trash made today
