Thorn PAR30 MR16 Lightstream Halogen adapter

Interesting little adapter that allows the use of low-voltage MR16 lamps in fittings designed for PAR30 lamps.
The reflector and diffuser is so the whole front lights up and doesn't look odd with a small light source is a big fitting.

I saw some of these in service a couple of weeks ago at a shop. Can't remember where now though!

I guess it would not be a good idea to use one of these in an exterior floodlight? I still have an exterior PIR PAR floodlight because the linear halogen floodlights seemed to be of such crap quality.
