Unknown tubular metal halide engineering sample lamp

Acquired recently from another collector - this might well be the 1st engineering sample lamp in my whole collection. Unfortunately there are no company markings to be found anywhere, apart from "engineering" and some numbers handwritten on the lamp's base. The lamp might have been made by Venture perhaps, as it is constructed similarly to a lot of their lamps. Who knows more?
