Unknown fluorescent fitting
I used to see part of this fitting through the skylight of a house a round the corner from my mum's and originally thought it had been built into a recess in the ceiling. However, the property was sold recently and so an estate agents picture of the loft conversion including the fitting became available. The loft conversion looks to have been done decades ago 1970s or possibly late 60s going by the carpet and the pine effect hardboard. They seemed to use this loft regularly possibly as an office as there is a fitted desk and the light was on most nights. Looks an old design of fitting from the 1960s or earlier. The woman who lived in the house always seemed rather odd for what it's worth.

Certainly has more than a hint of 'Designplan' to it, but honestly, no idea. Looks cool tho. Keep a look out for the new owners dumping it...

I wish I could but I live over 20 miles from that area now, otherwise I would be looking out for it.

Worth asking maybe?

Looks like a Thorn FFV or similar, like a food preparation environment fitting.

That’s exactly what I’m thinking, one of those Thorn kitchen things? Cool
