this had sat out of use since the late 60's, it fired up a few times, and now sadly will not strike, it may do with some different gear and an ignitor, yet to try this though

Nice! A quick blast on an ignitor may just bring this beauty back to life.

Put a SX72 35/55 SOX ignitor across the lamp on its normal 125 ballast that should get it going

oddly, these lamps which i guess would be the original lamps when this installation was installed, are rated at 125 watts, but the gear is actually 80 watts, so they were wrong in the first place. They must have lit though for alot of years

I think it must be June 1964 if it is AEI Mazda otherwise it would be June 1956 but then that would be BTH Mazda.

i have no idea if its an A.E.I. Mazda lamp or a B.T.H. mazda actually, i have noticed the way Mazda is written on mine is different to your lamp
