I remember I had an Osram Dulux EL Longlife 15W/840, which was the first CFL that I've seen from closeup.
One of the best of the electronic CFL's in my opinion
@dor123: Now this CFL in 840 colour would be my preference, such a pity I can only get them in 827

Beta 5: Exactly and the larger housing means that heat can be managed a lot more effectively, hence no overheating the ballast
Indeed, and the pre heated start when cold helps the tube life too
Hence why the blackening will not be that pronounced like the Philips Genies because thanks to the preheating stage of the pre programmed start in the OSRAM

This is also one of Osrams genuine ‘Interna’ phosphor ones
, indicated by the 41 after the wattage, Interna 41 is my all time favourite Tri colour, it really brings reds out that happen to be in a room these are lighting.

Osram used PTC controlled preheating, in their regular Dulux EL and Dulux EL Longlife, since these instant starts during a hot restrike. They used programmed start only in some of their Dulux ELs like Facility and Vario.
