Philips 40w T12 tube - made in GB I found this along with some others (which I stupidly didn't take) in the lamp recycling this morning. Despite its age it's NOS and has a very crisp etch.

Back when tubes like this were nothing short of perfection and you could expect at least a decade out of them!

Exactly! Shame I didn't take any more... Sad they'll probably be gone next time I pay this bin a visit.

Long lasting tubes these! The fail mode on these would be brown phosphor and glowing a very dim white/grey color.
