Battery Powered LED Table Lamp
A while ago I was having a meal in a restaurant in London and each table had a battery powered LED table lamp on it.
I thought it was quite cool and I had to have one!.
It took a bit of searching but I finally found one.

The unit has three colour settings: Daylight, warm white and cool white. The cool white setting uses both the daylight and warm white LED modules.
The unit is powered on, off and cycled through the colours by tapping the middle section on top of the luminaire which is capacitively coupled.
Dimming is achieved by holding your finger on top until the desired level is reached. The diming is infinitely variable with no obvious steps visible.
It is made out of aluminium and feels quite well built. The bottom of the stalk is knurled which feels nice when you are moving it about.

Recharging is by means of a USB C socket. A red LED next to it signifies charging which turns green when the battery is full.

I may have to get a few more of these, they look great on a coffee table ect with no wires!

So, how much does one of these cost then? I can see something like this being useful on the table in the garden, or even haandy in a power cut. Run long on one charge?

It was a bit more than I really wanted to pay tbh, in fact I'm a bit embarrassed to actually tell you but there are far cheaper versions available! Runs for at least 7 hours on full brightness before you notice it starting to dim.

Nice, these are indeed useful, might have to see about getting one myself one day too Smile It's good that things like this nowadays come in nice warm white and selectable colours, not so long ago anything like this with LED just came with the usual 6500K+ bluish LED's that looked pretty horrible for the applications they were made for, now a nice 3000K or 4000K looks a lot better!

Nice these do look elegant and of course I was eyeing up something similar like an orange coloured table light that looked like a mushroom and it is exactly usb powered
