I well remember Maxim making these, though it was a little disappointing they didn’t keep the original single coil filament like the originals?

These look decent though, a proper ballotini fuse in the stem compared to the completely unfused cheap chinese pearl lamps they offered in recent years.

@Angryhorse: Cool, well these look to be made around my childhood (the 2000s)
and they should have stuck to the zigzag single coil filament @Beta 5: I almost considered not getting them because of Maxim being of very low quality but 2nd time again I am glad I got them

I got another one from the same seller at Saturday car boot sale - I like these because they use the ballotini fuses and the colour quality is not too bad for the lacquer job

Yeah the ballotini fuse makes them worth getting, the cheap chinese unfused maxim ones would be best left behind as it's always a worry when using them!

I would always give Maxim bulbs a miss because of the low quality that is worse than Status but I got a few now in my collection. If I want to get more or happen to get them in a joblot, the first thing I'll check is if they have a ballotini fuse. I have a couple of 15W Maxim bulbs that have a zig zag filament and am glad I got them
