That's actually quite cool

I kind of want to make something like this myself now, but with the smaller lamps. This one is massive!

These are basically telescopic desk lamps that are connected together.

Last time i have seen so many of those lamps in one place that was in a skip at a hospital during renovations of all places. (They used the wall mounted version as bedside lamps in the 80s. Being incandescent and tunable in all directions, including upwards to provide soft indirect light is so much better than the minimalistic, efficient and useless thing installed nowadays)
