Atlas superslim restored - cap and starter closeup
Its amazing, despite the poor condition the fitting was in upon receiving it, how well the wiring, ballast cap and starter holder managed to dodge the dirt, which pretty much makes the fitting look like factory new inside.

These always come up amazingly well, although they aren't the easiest of fittings to work on.

Mine isn't at all rusty, just gone a strange cream colour, so I don't need to sand it back to bare metal so long as I key it.

Bit of Brasso should bring the white back out. I think these were a slight off white colour from new anyway.
