Unknown 140w SO/H ballast
Removed from column 01 on a road I'm currently working on relighting (to LED - Kill me now) on Thursday 12/01/2017, and running a 90w Osram SOX lamp in a Thorn Alpha 1, is this totally unknown but 100% working ballast for 140w SO/H lamps.
At a rough guess it probably dates to late 1940's early 1950's. Shame the capacitor was replaced. The only thing I know about it is that its a HEAVY son of a gun, weighing in at easily 20-25kg. I plan a full restoration on it, but idealy I'd like a new label for it. Sharpie pen is there for size comparison.
This is however the only one so far that I've come across, the rest having been replaced, though if anymore are found, I will be rescuing them for the collection.

Thanks for the info. Might you have an image of the label please? I'd like to replicate it if possible.
