Vintage Fluorescent fitting This picture just came up on one of the historic Liverpool Facebook groups and is said to have been taken in 1949 in Liverpool with the fluorescent batten in the background. yes, great photo, looks 1950's to me, early fittings were 5 foot BC as far as i know,
