Yes it works well, tube fades into life nicely and everything runs quietly

thats a rare one, ive got a twin 5 foot version with quick start gear with seperate black quickstart transformers in it

@ Andy, from my old work place which is currently being demolished, very sad times, but very happy that they let me in for a couple of days to save as many of the interesting fittings that I could, from the parts still standing

@ Danny, yes its massive and weighs a ton, especially as it has not only a choke and a QS transformer fitted, but also a massive 110 to 230v auto transformer. I actually tore a ligament in my hand getting these down!

@lampy, this uses a standard 80w series choke and a (separate) 125w transformer

Don't hold your breath whilst it will get done one day, I've got so much other stuff to do first

Cracking save and even in that condition its still in very good nick. I've been looking for a cover plate for one of these for a while for my own example. It did have a plastic trough but one end was smashed off so had to leave it.

Must fire up the one I got some time, it's never been tested by myself, just sat in the container since I got it.

@Slyspark, I tested it before it went to you, it'll be fine I'm sure.

@Dave, yeah these aren't quite as bad as they look, there's very little rust on the inside & they were just in a humid environment for a long time, they mostly haven't been rained on directly & shouldn't be 'rotten'. I could have one or two of these (complete) fittings spare if you're interested. I don't think I have just a cover unfortunately.
