GEC SLI/H 60W Cathode Working Thought this would be an interesting close-up to share. This hot-spot will start at the end of the cathode connected to the supply and work its way from one end to the other as the emitter is used up throughout the life of the lamp. Love watching these in action. I managed to capture a glow around the electrodes when I tried.

Really miss this camera. Was okay generally, but the macro mode was epic...would focus right down to 1.2mm. Sadly belonged to the office so had to hand it back when I left.
