Why?

Sigh... Circa 3 hour round trip to pick up this Atlas Superslim, I specifically asked the seller if there was any damage or holes drilled in it; "no it's fine, just dirty". Got there and the first thing I saw was the end of the cover bent up as the lazy twat had only bothered to undo one screw and then just bent it down. No idea why as the screw wasn't seized or such like.

Luckily as you can see here it's straightened out to a reasonable standard, but it'll never be perfect again.

That would really annoy me

It's annoying right? If he was just going to skip it then fair enough, but to bend it like that and then put it up for sale? Seems daft.

Would piss me off as well, that's just lazy!

Lazy twat but to be fair you have done a good job flattening the metal

Cheers Kev. I was a bit annoyed about it on the way home, so had to fix it immediately once back! Circa 15 minutes at the vice with a selection of flat punches and it's not too bad now, will barely see it once I've given it one last minor fettle and then painted it

Bet thing to avoid cracking would be to heat it red hot so it’s nice and soft but then you’d need to fully repaint it...
