Nice score!, I bought one wholesale in 1993, and it cost me £53 Shocked , bargain for a fiver Cool , 1980s Philips lamp too, as a bonus!

Love it! The Magentaish glow of the older philips soc's is what I remember playing out when I was little! Still have dreams of going home when I was little down the hill and all the sox fitting starting to warm up as the sun sets.

Amazing find! There's never any good stuff at the boot sales near mem in fact I rarely bother going these days.

They're a bit hit and miss. Sometimes you can come back with gold, other times jack shit. This is the first LPS gear i've ever got at a bootsale and it happens to be a complete 18w fitting! I must have done something good in a past life!

I personally wouldn’t install this I’d keep it in the box it wouldn’t surprise me if within 10 years a boxes fitting like this would go for £200+ on eBay one went for over £100 a couple months back

Conflicted what to do with it. Might save it for a generation born in a near 100% LED world and stick it up. It'd be a shock to see one warming up in the evening for people unfamiliar with them. Laughing
