Homemade 8w t6 tube
It came off the pump clean for once, had to repeatedly fill it with 300 milibar of helium, run it on a neon transformer until it got hot enough to burn paper, evacuated it and repeated 3 more times, then heated the filaments to yellow hot with the vacuum valve open, flushed it with helium with the cathodes still hot one last time then filled it with 7 milibar of argon which I think was slightly too much.

I know exactly what has to be done and would love to set a production line up but that's out of my league. This tube is made using pre coated neon sign tubing that I can get in loads of colours and diameters, the main difference is the wall thickness being very thick (1.5mm) because it's meant to be bent sharply without going thin

Wait.. did you just edit your comment.

Eclipsis i did actually. As i wrote, i think it would be great to set up series production

I decided to not stick it here, but if you are asking - I would be very interested to try to build some lamp line(s) as well. Maybe over here after i get the ballast part going (and gain the needed experience with machines etc), or maybe participate if you try something on your side
