Arlen EFA FS2 Series Starters
Got a pack of 10 of these on ebay for £3 so I don't expect them to last.
These arrived just in time for me to finish my twin 14W T12 fitting as I go back up north tomorrow and they work brilliantly.
Would love to know if there is a series pulse start equivalent as most my fittings with rarer tubes use them to prolong the life of the tube.

I will post a picture of the fitting when it has been cleaned up and put together properly as right now the only place it's going is the hall of shame!

Ordered these over a week ago from a "quick" UK seller!
The mail's had a rough few weeks recently.

I will keep an eye out for some. I've also just realised that Arlen is the company that makes the pulse starters. Small world.

EFS120 are thise 4-22 watt electronic starters. personally if you want to tubes last longest is to maunally switch starting them. you can do this by drilling out starter cans and add a push button normally open switch. solder them into pins of starter base. just hold switch in 3 sec and release. this basically why you still find 1940s tubes in a desk lamp that shows up on ebay now and then.

I was considering doing a manual switch start. I started thinking of making an automated switch/start with a timed relay but i'm still playing about with these tubes so anything could happen.

Way before Thorn went to the dogs, I got a box of their 'Flouropulce' series twin electronic starters from the spares depot at Spennymoor.
Arlen stuff is pretty decent though.
