Caught in the act!
Can you fucking believe it!?
Here I am walking past THREE of these massive containers, quickly nab a few walk out and SIX.
Yes you read correctly. SIX security guards spring out of nowhere to save the day life fucking spiderman.
Site manager wasn't there so I couldn't get permission to take any so I had to leave them to go off to the crusher!
By the looks on their faces they look like they'd've had no problem with me taking them but were ruled over by pushy management so I had to trot all the way back with my fist full of T12's and leave them for the crusher.
Not much of interest in there.
The tube pictured was the only interesting one, looks like a dead bug zapper tube but that's not the point of this post.

Pass by, nab a few in 30 seconds SIX blokes from all sides of the building come rushing in like i'd just committed a hatton garden job.
Each on on at least the minimum wage being paid to be the holy guardians of the bin.
Unbelievable!
What a waste!

It's always the sad bastards in jobs like that on minimum wage that behave that way I find. All things considered though, it is just an EOL Sylvania tube.

That one pictured is one of about 20 I grabbed. Some old British made ones in that lot. Some perfectly good x4 ones in there (those ones that are like 2 small U bent ones).

Shame, but as already said many security guards seem to be power mad little Hitler's, even if they actually have no power whatsoever. At the end of the day, it's night time ...and also it's a load of old tubes in a skip, they should be thankful someone's taking them

Had a chat to the guys at our local recycling centre a few weeks ago. They're now monitored from off site by CCTV full time, and have been told that they have to do anything in their power to ensure that nothing is taken off site. It's a three strike policy...then they get the boot...so can't blame the guys there themselves. They agreed it's bloody stupid.

The blokes didn't seem too arsed however they did have a local camera system. Have the feeling they've got uppity management. Site's 24 hour i'm afraid Sad Gutted! It's a very 60's/70's office like building. Absolutely gorgeous fluorescent lit! Now it's all dim 6000k cheapy chinky dead-already LED shite.

And I thought councils were strapped for cash, so why are they payng jobsworths to sit watching CCTV screens all day? Having personal experience of the crisis that we currently have in social care that is currently taking place and is having a serious effect on the quality of life of many, I find it really annoying that time and money is being wasted on such crap.

Because certain councils (Labour) love spending all the money on their unnecessary pet projects that people don’t want or need instead of on vital servecies and when questioned why they are not helping their constituents, they can just blame the government cuts. It means they don’t have to do any real work, they get to have their toys and the net result is making the Conservatives look bad. Win win. Mad

My county Council just tells me just throw the tubes in the rubbish. They dont even have a bin to store all the tubes. finding tubes in a rubbish skip in USA means free taking another mans treasure.
