DIY 16w 2D adapter conversion to 28w.
When checking out the data sheet for these little 26w HF ballasts, it claims that it can in fact run 28w 2D lamps at slightly reduced wattage even though it doesn't list 28w lamps on the ballast itself.
Seeing as they are the same size as the 16w ballast, I thought I might swap out one of my 2D adapters and see how it goes...

Poundland LED candle lamps are ideal for pinching the bases off. The B22 contacts are only pressed in with the wires. No soldering required.

be interesting to get the scope on this and see how full power it is or is not! or you could measure the mains input side of things and subtract the ballast losses to get lamp power

Been thinking to make some but for 18W pinned stick CFLS as I am struggling to find a ballast adapter for them
