I was shocked, especially with the price they are now, even if they turn out to be 3 of a bad batch, their still worth testing before they head for the dreaded WEEE bin!

They were probably not getting used up so they were just binned. Shame because I bet loads end up in bins.

The one in the centre seems to have a SOX-E coating, it is much redder than the other two with standard indium coating.

This was kind of annoying with SOX though, not so much because their going out of production, but the fact they were never even lit!, it’s like scrapping a car you never even drove!!

It's ridiculous what gets binned, makes me really annoyed thinking about it. I take it they don't mind you fishing stuff out of the lamp bins at Edmundsons?

The bin is IN the building, but thanks to my friend, and fellow member here, Jordan, that works there, I was allowed to have them Cool , it started with a conversion about a 180 that was in there Rolling Eyes

I always raid senates pulled a couple new PSG out of there myself. I’ll speak to my boss today see if I can blag him in to getting me those ballasts.

As well as these 3, and the last bag full, I should have enough, but you will need plenty of spares if you adopt your Holophane for full time service.
