LED Handrail Lighting 1

LED does have uses where I think they are very good indeed. Such as under handrail lighting which does look quite cool IMO.

I wonder if the rails have to go away to be serviced?, the stairway going up to the Smiler has lit handrails but in yellow Cool

Back in the day i played with the idea of doing the same with an F40T12. Just connected in series with a choke and no starter it will have some low current cold discharge in it, and if the voltage is dropped it will also react to placing a hand on the tube (if it is left bare to touch under the rail)

Been wanting to do something with my handrail at home tbh. Some LED tape in a channel being driven at low power...
