Thorn Alpha 3 on very old concrete column

Unusual way of mounting a lantern! Clearly this column originally held an older lantern when it was replaced in the 1970's or 1980's with the Alpha 3. Google Maps unfortunately shows that the bowl has gone missing in recent years. Located in New Cross bus depot, London.
