Pictured in a relatives' kitchen. Once upon a time, at least a third of all Spanish kitchens had these sorts of circline fittings in them... Variants included 2-tube models, and several different variants were made with enclosed glass, and some were even made out of painted ceramic. Over the last 10 years they have unfortunately been disappearing rapidly.

I guess the 2D fluorescent lamp didn't catch on in Spain very well hence why circlines are dominant in the small form factor (non linear) fluorescent lighting Neutral
