PGH Leuchtenbau Staßfurt
Another classic old lantern from rural Germany, I believe these were nicknamed ‘Latsch‘, and were also known as a slipper! Again they are really well built and have very silent ballasts for open coils. When I arrived this was running a well aged Osram and looked awesome!

Cool I believe the design looks older for the time it came out! What I mean is that it looks like from the late 1940s whereas it came out in the 1960s

Even though they were deemed as budget lanterns, I really like this design! Very Happy , imagine it fitted with a little curved bowl, and they wouldn’t look outside of place today Wink

curved bowl??? unthinkable... the GDR only made very few lanterns with bowls, and the most were flat glasses. And these bowls were of more the questionable utility and quality to put it midly
