Philips MASTER LEDBulb DimTone 2200-2700k CRI95 40, 60 & 100w Retrofits 1 x 3.4, 5.9 & 10.5w high-CRI LED Filament retrofit lamps designed to replace 40, 60 and 100w incandescent tungsten filament lamps. These features Philips' Dim-Tone technology which decreases the CCT when dimmed to 2200k from 2700k. These are quite nice lamps indeed. They are bright with a very lovely colour and excellent CRI. They are very realistic when lit, they are almost impossible to tell apart from a real incandescent lamp! These are a slightly improved version of these older units from Philips which have lower CRI and lifespan. These are not as efficient as other LED retrofit lamps on the market but the much improved CRI and colour more than make up for this IMO!

This is how LED lighting should have become before ever hitting the market for incandescent replacement! The CRI 95 and of course the dual warm white colour temperatures meant these would have cost a lot to make these, hence them being pricey!!! I've noticed of how good Philips does with LED retrofit lighting and OSRAM seems to be nailing it too!

I would not put the bar that high - For some applications an inferior and cheaper lamp in itself is ok, but it should have never been a reason to push out everything else

I still think for light distribution the SMT ones are better Cool
