Thorn 250w SON-TD
NOS Double-ended SON lamp with RX7s caps. Very popular in the 1970's

Designed to replace and be used in the same luminaires (with an external gearbox) as linear halogen lamps such as Thorn's Haline series of fittings.
The compactness of this lamp means it can be precisely located very near to the focus of compact ellipsoidal reflectors and thus providing very tight optical control compared with normal single-ended lamps.

Lovely lamps these are! It would be great to have a Thorn Haline flood to run one of these in.
