8w Sylvania Toledo Radiance: Side. Showing the side of the lamp when lit. Most of the light comes from the ring around the outside but tiny etched dots in the transparent disc/light guide give off quite a bit too. The light given off is very soft and glare is minimal due to the large surface area. I might have to get one of the larger ones tbh.

Looks ideal for shadeless fittings, bit of a dust collector though, but the concept is certainly interesting.
