What you see here is interesting. You can see clearly the red gasket material on top of the connectors and wires. This fitting is double insulated so they could spare themself the grounding wire up the coulumn... thats communism when you can´t afford a third alumnium conductor...

that is indeed interesting, I noticed the presence, (or lack of), of an earth, but just assumed a rural setting didn’t require one, especially with the height these things were mounted at , which was evident in a photo Olav showed me
