When will they stop powder coating stuff?

Is this even powder coating? looks like a very thin layer of some crappy vinyl-type spray paint on cheaply-cast Chinesium alloy

When will they lean to stop using dissimilar metals? Alloy flood body and steel bracket is just asking for Galvanic corrosion. The couple of old Thorn floods I have feature a rubber or cork disc which electrically isolates the bracket from the flood body to prevent it.

Of course, it'd help if these were actually made from proper aluminium and not that recycled junk that melts away into white powder and goo. Look at old streetlight canopies - those sat outside, completely unpainted for over 50 yrs and were still like new, modern stuff dissolves in a few years....
