GE 400w Lucalox U.S.A vs Europe: Ignition & Full Power
Two General Electric 400w Lucalox tubular clear high-pressure sodium vapour lamps.
The top one is made in Hungary and the bottom lamp is made in the US.

It's interesting to note the differences between the pair, from the obvious outer envelope shape, the shorter overall length, the different LCL and the more subtle differences such as a different style of end plug on one end of the arc tube.
The arc tube is properly centred in the Hungarian lamp at least.

Both lamps start with an impressive white light and it seems the US lamp runs up quicker than the Hungarian lamp while both run up to a lovely bright golden yellow colour typical of GE's Lucalox range.

28,000 & 24,000h
48,500 & 51,000lm initial.

The outer jacket of the American lamp, is smaller than the one of the European lamp. Strange why?
