Fenny Stratford, Simpson Road, 1970s Another classic photo I came across. These Thorn? Fluorescents were later replaced to what I believe GEC Z9538s before wide replacement of concrete columns to hockey stick with Philips SGS201s in the early 2000s. Only one of these original columns survived up until 2016, supporting a GEC Z9538. Other photogragh evidence suggests the fluorescents were replaced with Z9538s around Bletchley.
