Simpson Road, before Street Lighting, 1970s Another photo I came across. This shows Simpson Road by the river bridge before the estate Walton Park (where I live) was built in 1987 - 89. The road saw 6m square columns with Crompton Churchouse / Quadlite sphere banded lanterns in 70w SON, which are still in use today
