Marlin 22w circline bulkhead - Open
A very unusual and awesome find is this Marlin Trimline, for a 22w circular fluorescent tube, something I've never seen before. I already have a 16w 2D version, and the refractors in the diffuser break the shape of that lamp up incredibly well. The same is true here, you can barely even tell the shape of the lamp when its lit.
upon first arrival, the terminal block was oddly on the lamp side of the gear tray, needless to say it was rather fragile and broke as soon as I tried to move it. I replaced it and moved it to the opposite, and more logical side of the tray. The starter was just a normal white canister type, I thought I'd replace it with a clear canister starter just for variety.
Its now installed in my new shed, its way too nice to be left lying around.

Very nice! What's the gear look like?

Very nice, this one looks nearly new too, definitely one to get installed and enjoy using Smile

Ah, but it is installed now, in my workshop. This paired with 4 other 22w circline bulkheads (2 of which are conversions) they provide ample light.

Awesome! Its one of those ones that's too nice to leave packed away but needs to be somewhere with low enough hours so it doesn't yellow too quickly.
What were the other circline bulkheads originally? I have done a couple, one is another Trimline (originally 2D) with an opal cover and the restored gear tray from a worn out one and the other is an ASD bulkhead with my own tray.

One was an ex 2D bulkhead with a failed HF driver out the box (no shocks there) and the second was a large GLS bulkhead that just happened to have the right proportions to convert to a more suitable light source.

Nice, there are some good bulkhead designs about which lend themselves well to a circline conversion.
