Esla one way lantern lit.
There are very few lanterns that I can describe as being truly beautiful when lit, however this Esla one way is certainly a lantern I can say looks beautiful. To properly focus a lamp into one of these lanterns, you have to position the filament level with the lowest point of the wing, the resulting effect being that a properly focussed lamp illuminates all the mirrors. To coin a phrase from a fellow collector, the lantern resembles an 'electric Peacock' when lit. Its light control is impeccable also, being that its main uses would have been at the end of a cul-de-sac, the light is controlled to throw all the light directly forward like a floodlight.
