Industria 2500 tube and starter layout.
|
Obtained from Nick is this Industria 2500 from 1988. Originally wired for one single tube, it arrived in a very good condition, the only issue really was the fact it had signs of water ingress, and it knackered a lamp holder as a result, as well as rusting the metal slightly. This was treated with zinc spray, which certainly tidied the area up well. The bowl over the years had also become quite cloudy, but some Brasso soon saw the worst of it gone. Considering its now 36 years old though, its definitely done well.
Me being me, I saw potential in a conversion, and with no modifications save for the starter sockets, its now a triple tube lantern. Light output is brilliant as a result, and the placement of the starters allow the lantern to be fully serviced without having to hinge the tray down to access starters.
Its definitely one of the more unusual looking lanterns owing to the fact I'm so used to seeing them as PL-L, but its these unusual lanterns I love. Its an extremely welcome addition, and once the canopy has been resprayed, will be yet another lantern restored.
