JSB emergency bulkhead battery pack
After 22 years in this bulkhead, which saw the batteries no longer even being able to charge any more, it was long overdue a replacement. A stroke of luck came about when I took apart a 6X10w PL-C and 2X26w PL-S homebrew fitting. I remembered it had emergency backup, and as luck would have it, it matched the battery in this, so was duly swapped over. A good charge up revealed it to be a good working battery after all, so will continue service in the fitting.

That new battery looks like a shit one Dave. The best ones are either the YUASA or better still the SAFT cell type. I'm sending Dan a new battery for his EM soon shall I put one for you in the box?
