Electrician may only be doing what he was told to do. Someone else probably made the decision to 'downgrade' to LED
If it were here and for some reason I was put in place to upgrade the lighting I'd go with 8-foot T8...atleast that would keep the character of the old setup still in place
I have yet so see LEDs installed anywhere here, other than one building with LED retro-fit tubes.
(now for streetlights, those have really started showing up in the past 2 years
Cool that you will be getting/saving the old fittings!
If it wasn't for the shipping issue I'd deff be interested in one .lol.
I just made the assumption that shipping something that long (and likely heavy) so far would be quite expensive.
