Holophane Caribe
Globe lanterns of any type have always been reserved to amenity lighting, be it for a shopping arcade, high street, car parks, Milton Keynes used thousands of them. They were available with 3 different shaped globes, the sphere, the super rare cube, and the one shown here.
This example came from Birmingham, and was one of eight in a small side street. God knows why eight was used, as half of that would've been more than enough. By the time they came up for removal, six survived, and I was the one who removed all of them, however they are safe, two are available. Running 70w SON, light output is spread very well, nothing less expected from Holophanes prism's.
Overall its in A1 condition, therefore all this'll need is a good wipe over with Brasso, and a good clean on the base casting, and its ready to go again.

I do love globe style lanterns with the rig refractor rings inside them. Had their heyday in the late 80’s and early 90’s. My era Smile

The Caribe was very popular in the city centre in MK with the round globe, followed by the Grosvenor. They did use some on Kingsmead in West MK that have a round metal band around the outside of the Globe, there very strange! Private use saw lot of these also in car parks
