Atlas 15W Tropical Daylight T12

I got 3 of these the same time they showed up on ebay and everyone else got theirs

but I did not upload a picture at the time as andy had uploaded a picture and I did not want to "steal his thunder" so to speak

but I was rummaging around and found my 30W Choke so decided to run them up as a pair and grab a photo to upload here :)

(I have 3 of these, and at the time I tested them 1 at a time in my 15W US Strip light which you can see in my gallery)

They really are lovely tubes! I have one in daily use and sometimes it still swirls for a bit most days.

when I first ran each of them up when they arrived, all 3 swirled quite profusely, but interestingly when I fired up these 2, they did not swirl not even a little bit which I found unusual, as BLI tubes from this period like to swirl for a good few runs before settling down, maybe the 2 hour runs I gave each tube the first time round was enough to settle things Smile

Ive got a couple of BLI 20w Red lamps in use and one still swirls now and again even after several years lol.

interesting stuff, how are those doing, maybe time for an update shot? IIRC they banded up quite spectacularly quite quickly Smile
