My 500th upload so thought I'd make it something a bit special! I acquired this a while ago but have only just got around to doing something with it...

Here you see a Metropolitan Vickers 5ft 80w bayonet cap fluorescent fitting. This is in nice original condition with what appears to be original wiring and ballast etc.

mint, never seen one of these before, but i have a twin fitting very simelar to this BC tubes, 5 foot, with that same metal cover over the lampholders, think this idea was a standard fitment at the time, typical early to mid 50's fitting

I bet it weighs a bit. Made from proper sheet steel instead of tin foil like modern ones!
