Several of the fixtures I collected today were like this, knock-out removed and chain attached just out of the hole, and then tied up with rope! Not sure if genius or terrible

I have got before a couple Fitzy's that were installed on a Steel truss. How : It was threaded through the lantern end to end, getting besides the ballasts along with all the wires

If it's on a farm it can be fixed with bailer twine, no matter what.
